(1) Who is a Root User?
The Root User is the first user and super admin of an institution that creates other users in his/her organization
(2) How can I create a maker and checker on the CBA?
The Super Admin/Root creates any user on the CBA. The Root user logs in to the portal and goes to the User Management module and click on “users”. Then after clicking on the “create user” icon at the top right corner. The Root user fills the necessary details, for Initiator (choose the maker option on the role field) and for the authorizer (choose the checker option on the role field).
(3) What is an Accounting Product?
Accounting Entry products are assigned to Funds Transfer Products and determine the account entries to be passed in the Journal Table.
(4) How do I unlock an account?
If it is a Root User that is locked, the user reaches out to NIBSS to unlock the Root user’s account and if it’s a member user, the user reaches out to the Root User to unlock his/her account.
(5) What is a NIBSS Products seen on the CBA?
This module comprises of several NIBSS products for institutions. You can subscribe and perform transaction on available NIBSS products via this module. Here you don’t need special integration processes as the NIBSS products are integrated by default for all institutions.
(6) What are Reports?
The Reporting Module provides a user-friendly interface for creating and managing reports. It provides a flexible and extensible module to configure and develop respective reports easily. The steps to configure your reports are on the user manual.
(7) How do I create a customer on the CBA?
The customer can be created under the account services, select customer and click on “create customer “ and fill in the necessary fields (see user guide)
(8) Who approves when a Super Admin creates other users? would it be done on the bank end?
The Root User can create and approve the first user
(9) How flexible is the Ncube in implementing APIs, i.e., connecting with Other Platforms that the bank's application works with?
The platform is flexible. There are APIs available to extend the platform to your third-party applications and other external solutions. The API documentation is available on NIBSS Dev Portal and the Keys to generate for your clients to test are available on your ‘settings’ page
(10) Can Ncube receive notifications for suspicious transactions as question on ALM alert?
Alerts for suspicious transactions via our Central Fraud Management System service is being integrated to the portal and will be released in Q1. However, each institution can be profiled to review their transactions on our CFMS Portal as soon as you go live
(11) Is Ncube linked with any credit bureau for credit checks?
It is not linked to the Credit Bureaus now, but in the roadmap for implementation. The first trench of integrations are to NIBSS products in the meantime.
(12) Can a user be deleted?
You can only disable a user
