The 1st Nigerian Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) General Meeting for 2018, was held at the Balmoral Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This edition themed; “Ineffective e-Product Design and Account Management: A Window to Fraud?” was co-hosted by; NIBSS, UBA, Stanbic IBTC, Fidelity Bank, Heritage Bank, and e-tranzact.

The forum was created to enable information exchange and knowledge sharing on fraud issues among key stakeholders, with the objective of ensuring a collaborative and proactive approach to mitigating fraud and limiting occurrences and losses.

NeFF also provides a platform which represent the Industry’s position on fraud related issues, while proffering solutions that restore public confidence on card usage and electronic payments in general.

In attendance for this edition were the Director, Banking & Payment Systems – CBN– Mr. Dipo Fatokun who is the Chairman NeFF, Director, Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department – CBN – Mrs. Tokunbo Martins, Executive Director, Technology & Operations NIBSS – Mrs. Christabel Onyejekwe, CISO UBA – Mr. Sam Okenye, Chief Risk Officer, Stanbic IBTC Bank- M’fon Akpan, Divisional Head, Information Assurance, Fidelity Bank – Mr. Desmond Anumkua, CIO-Heritage Bank Plc – Ike Williams, Ag. Managing Director, eTranzact Plc – Mr. Niyi Toluwalope.

The highlight for the day was the unveiling of the Nigerian Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) 2017 Annual Report, themed; “TIGHTENING THE BELT OF E-FRAUD PREVENTION: A 4-sided Approach”, led by the outgoing Deputy Governor, Operations – CBN – Mr. Adebayo Adelabu who was represented by the Director, Other Financial Institutions Dept – CBN – Mrs. Tokunbo Martins.
