NIBSS Financial Literacy School Club Empowerment Initiative

In line with our commitment to empowering youths with essential life skills and to commemorate the 2024 Global Money Week in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System PLC (NIBSS) proudly partnered with Bestman Games Initiatives to sponsor 200 students from the Lagos State Education District 1.

This sponsorship initiative enrolls 200 students as members of the NIBSS Financial Literacy School Club, aimed at equipping them with vital personal finance management skills for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The inaugural ceremony, hosted at Sango Senior Secondary School, Agege commenced an opening remarks from Mr. Fatoyinbo David, representing the Founder and CEO of Bestman Games Initiatives. Mr. David provided insights into the establishment of the Financial Literacy School Clubs and highlighted NIBSS’s interest in the initiative.

Presentations were delivered by Mr. Samuel Oluyemi, Head of Other Financial Institutions at NIBSS, Mrs. Efemena Eriri, Head of Finance Operations at NIBSS, and Mr. Temitope Adebayo, Head of Instant Payment Platform Operations at NIBSS. The speakers emphasized the significance of financial literacy, modern transfer technology systems, and the importance of savings, earning, and budgeting in achieving financial success.

Closing remarks were delivered by Mr. Oshosanya, representing Mrs. Oyegbile O.K., Director of Co-Curricular Science and Technology for Educational District 1.

Following the presentations, students actively engaged in a Q&A session and were rewarded with gifts for their participation. Each school received donations of “A-Z Personal Finance” materials and “The Stock Town” Comic Book. Representatives from NIBSS and Bestman Games Initiatives joined principals, club coordinators, and students for photo sessions.

We extend our gratitude to the following schools for their participation and support:
