This is a one–stop–shop service providing a connection to various identity validation services such the BVN Validation, vNIN validation and NIN validation.
(2) Who are the users of the NVS solution?
The service is suitable for Banks who need to conduct identification validation of their customers.
(3) Does an institution require a user interface to adopt the solution?
Yes. This is an API service that institutions can seamlessly integrate their existing channels into.
(4) What is the input required to validate vNIN and what is the response to expect?
The vNIN number will be inputted, and a success or failure response will be provided.
(5) What is the input required to validate BVN and what is the response to expect?
- To validate BVN, the BVN digits must be inputted.
- A successfully validated BVN returns data such as the following: marital status, gender, surname, middle name, first name, address, date of birth, title, branch name, watchlist status, etc.
(6) What is the input required to validate NIN and what is the response to expect?
- To validate NIN, the NIN digits are required as an input alongside other data such as: first name, last name, middle name, phone number, date of birth and gender.
- Once validation is successful, a typical response will be “successful and match found”.
