President Tinubu Chairs Presidential Committee on Digital Public Infrastructure

In a pivotal move to accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation, President Bola Tinubu has been announced as the Chair of the newly inaugurated Presidential Committee on the Implementation of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). This landmark initiative signals the Federal Government’s deep commitment to building a secure, interoperable, and inclusive digital economy.

The announcement was made by George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), during the committee’s inauguration in Abuja on Tuesday. Represented by Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Akume emphasized that the Committee’s core mandate is to ensure the coordinated and legally compliant implementation of DPI that aligns with national development goals.

“DPI is the key to unlocking new avenues for growth, creating jobs, improving public service delivery, and empowering our citizens,” said Tijani.

The Committee has been tasked with aligning the three core pillars of Digital Public Infrastructure:
